About Us

Adam & Rachel like modernist cooking and are Mormons. They live in Utah. Rachel gave Adam a copy of Modernist Cuisine at Home for his birthday.

Sky lives in California, and also got a copy of Modernist Cuisine at Home as a gift, although it wasn’t his birthday. He encouraged Adam to do a cook-everything-in-the-book blog, and here it is. He promised to help out with some of the cooking, since he is perfectly happy to drink all the coffee and alcohol that Adam and Rachel won’t (because they are Mormons).

Thus, with their powers combined, we gradually bring you: Every single dish in Modernist Cuisine.

Looks as if you’re having fun, which is an end in itself, but when I consider applying some of the principles my main question is, “Does it taste better (and/or is the texture more alluring) than the old fashioned alternative?” I suspect that the fluffy cheesecake was a triumph, but am much less excited by the mac cheese. I look forward to your future posts.

I think I agree there. The texture on the mac cheese was very good, but I don’t recommend it with mild cheeses; the sodium citrate leaves a flavor. I think there are some variants that might work; there may be more experiments in the future :).
